Marriage in Blankenburg Castle
The Baroque castle Blankenburg - the largest preserved Guelph castle - is exactly the right place for your fairytale wedding. In the Grey Hall of the New Wing, you can get married in the registry office and then treat your wedding guests with a glass of champagne on the castle terrace, for example.
Get married in style
Under magnificent chandeliers in the Gray Hall the civil wedding becomes a festive ceremony. The over 115 m2 large hall with its up to 60 seats offers relatives and friends enough space. The Gray Hall was already used for ceremonies in Duke's time. The last big event was the christening of Friederike, daughter of Duke Ernst-August and Duchess Viktoria-Luise, in 1917. Friederike later became Queen of Greece and is the mother of Queen Sophia of Spain. Who does not feel like a princess or prince in this fairy-tale ambience?
What we offer
Since 2012 it has been possible to hold a civil wedding in the Grey Hall. On request, we can also provide you with music from tape, decorative floral decorations or companions in baroque costumes.
After the wedding ceremony we will gladly serve you and your guests a glas of champagne. Of course we serve you and your guests coffee and cake or a small snack on request. And while you are taking wedding photos, we will gladly entertain your guests with an interesting guided tour of our castle.

Our Weddings Working Group organizes your wedding ceremony on a voluntary basis for you. All the revenue will be used for the reconstruction and further rehabilitation of the monument.
